What you’re seeing: your LINZ parcel boundary on satellite imagery, priced by property area. InSAR reads buildings and hard surfaces best - it’s less reliable on bush, water and very fast movement. See “Where LandSure works best” below.

Property size is the legal area from the LINZ record of title.

Please read before you buy. LandSure is not a geotechnical engineer, and this report is not analysis, certification or a professional opinion. Think of it as a canary in the coal mine - a satellite data report that flags where the ground may be moving. It is meant to be used alongside your local geotechnical engineer, who knows your area and the differences in the land. InSAR does not work equally well in all land types, so please check that this product is right for you before purchasing.

Common questions about the free check

Is the free property check really free?

Yes. Enter an address to see the LINZ property boundary, the property's area, the report price and where the satellite has measurement points on and around it. You only pay if you buy the report.

How is the report price worked out?

By the property's legal area from the LINZ record of title: $345 up to 500 m², $575 for 501 to 1,000 m², and above 1,000 m² $575 plus $0.46 for each square metre over 1,000, all NZD including GST. Online orders go up to $2,500; larger areas are quoted by our team.

What do the dots on the map show?

Each dot is a place where the satellite has a movement record, on the property and up to 100 m around it. The free check shows positions only; the report gives every point's full record.

Why are there no points on my lawn or garden?

Radar only measures hard, stable surfaces such as roofs, paving and rock. Lawns, gardens, paddocks and bush usually have no readings. No point there is not the same as no movement.
